HRC52- GICJ denounce Israeli atrocities in occupied Palestinian territory

HRC52: Speaking at the Human Rights Council’s 52nd Session, GICJ expressed that states can no longer be complicit in shielding Israel from accountability for the severity of crimes being committed in Occupied Palestinian Territory.

Kiyana Newell of GICJ, spoke at the interactive dialogue on the report of the High Commissioner on the human rights situation in Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT). She exclaimed that the international community attending the Human Rights Council are continually falling short of their obligations to defend the Palestinian people, compounding, and prolonging the suffering of through lack of accountability and exceptional treatment.

Palestine needs immediate international protection. We must consider who is the real cause of terror in Palestine, and which states attending the Human Rights Council will allow such terror to continue.

In its joint statement with The International Organization for the elimination of all forms of Racial Discrimination (EAFORD) and Geneva International Centre for Justice (GICJ) strongly denounces the invasion and occupation of more Palestinian territories by Israel. The Human Rights Council must give its fullest support to the people of Palestine.
