The Interactive dialogue, on the human rights situation in South Sudan was held on the 18th March 2022. It began with a statement from Michelle Bachelet, the High Commissioner for Human Rights, giving an update on the situation of human rights in South Sudan.

In an oral statement delivered by Jamel Nampijja, on behalf of the Geneva International Centre for Justice (GICJ), and Meezaan Center for Human Rights, great concern was expressed about the hundreds of arbitrary killings, arrests, detentions and other grave crimes against women and girls.
