Advisory Board

Mr. Al-Khasawneh, Prime Minister of Jordan 2011-2012, was a member of the International Court of Justice from 2000 until 31 December 2011, and its Vice-President 2006-2009; he is an international lawyer, statesman and diplomat. He was Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court and served on many international bodies, including the United Nations International Law Commission and the Sub-Commission on the Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities. He has lectured extensively on international law. Mr. Al-Khasawneh received his university education at Queens' College, Cambridge in England, where he attained an undergraduate degree in history and law, and a master’s degree in international law. He held senior legal posts in the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs as from 1980.

Ms. Sharfelddin holds Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences (Houston Baptist University), Master of Science in Social Sciences (United States International University), Doctorate of Management in Organizational Leadership (University of Phoenix).Her research areas are; Examining Performance Variables of Nongovernmental Organizations with Consultative Status with the United Nations and Religious Orientation and Racism: Underlining the Difference between Constructive and Destructive Belief Systems. She  is the Chief Executive of the International Organization for the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (EAFORD) - Human Rights Education and Training -International Organizations and Relations Consultancy. Her personal interests: Art, Literature, and World Religions.

Mr. del Prado was the chairperson of the United Nations Human Rights Council’s Working Group on the Use of Mercenaries, servicing in his personal capacity as a human rights independent expert (2005-2011). Besides, he is a member of the Advisory Group of the Geneva Centre for Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF) Private Security Regulation Net. He also served as a member of the U.N. Advisory Group of the Voluntary Fund for the First International Decade of the World’s Indigenous Peoples. As former senior human rights officer (1981-1997) he was in charge of advisory services and human rights field presences of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights; he has been responsible and innovator of the UN Human Rights Advisory and Technical Cooperation Program, establishing field offices and elaborating cooperation programs. He has been Senior Coordinator of the World Conference against Racism (Durban 2001) assisting the former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Ms. Mary Robinson.

Mrs. Niloufer Bhagwat, is a Professor of Comparative Constitutional Law at the University of Mumbai. She is the Vice President of the Indian Lawyers Association — Mumbai. She served as a Judge with the Tokyo International Tribunal for War Crimes in Afghanistan, March 2004. Also she was a member of the World Tribunal on Iraq (WTI) 27 June 2005, in which she described the economic interests behind the U.S. war on Iraq and the military-industrial complexity of oil and energy corporations in alliance with the US administration as the driving force behind this war for demands of accelerated globalization. Professor Niloufer Bhagwat also participated in part of the proceedings of the Kuala Lumpur War Crimes Tribunal, the trial  in which a war crime charge has been heard against George W. Bush and Tony Blair in compliance with due legal process, wherein complaints from war victims had been received, duly investigated and formal charges instituted by the Kuala Lumpur War Crimes Commission.
