On 30 June 2014, GICJ delivered the last statement of the 26th regular session of the Human Rights Council. On behalf of a number of NGOs GICJ welcomed the request by the OHCHR to hold a Special Session ion Iraq, called however on the Council to understand those factors that had contributed to the build-up of the crisis and to not hastily take sides.
