GICJ Oral Statement with Association Ma’onah for Human Rights and Immigration

On the 30th of March 2022, the Human Rights Council held a High-level interactive dialogue on the human rights situation in the Central African Republic. Amal Bushara delivered a statement on behalf of Geneva International Centre for Justice (GICJ) and Association Ma’onah for Human Rights. Ms Bushara stressed the importance of comprehensive and effective efforts to investigate and remedy all alleged abuses and human rights violations, in order to end CAR’S prolonged and worrying cycle of violence.

Ma’onah and Geneva International Centre for Justice call on the international community and government of CAR to support alternative justice and governance mechanisms, such as local and inter-communal reconciliation efforts to mediate conflict and promote dialogue across conflict zones.
